MICHAEL BURTON

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

Like many designers, Michael Burton’s affinity—and love—for design originated long before his formal training. His idyllic early years in rural Ohio laid the foundation for his serene perspective, influenced by the woods, fields, and his home environment. By the age of 11, Michael had a vision for his own room and enlisted the help of his father and grandfather to make it tangible. He was likely the only middle schooler spending his allowance on Martha Stewart Living, spending time rearranging furniture, meticulously curating an ever-changing gallery wall of posters, or helping his parents select materials for their new home. This process—seeing the creative and technical come together—is when design became more than just an interest.

As an adult, Michael began his professional life as a hospitality executive, which deepened his appreciation for thoughtful functionality and a space’s ability to foster meaningful connection. Even with a lifetime of memorable experiences, it was his time as a stay-at-home parent that solidified his understanding of the impact of a well-designed home. For Michael, home became an anchor of consistency and calm amidst the chaos of family life. This realization led him to formalize his design expertise, earning a certification from the Boston Architectural College.
